unknown. These clippings are about 100 years old (1997).  Reprinted in
Kentucky Explorer, Volume 10, Number 1 - May 1995. p. 95. Jefferson
County.

Abraham Bowman married Nancy Overall in Virginia and moved to Kentucky and
settled on the Ohio River, fourteen miles above Louisville.  My father
died in 1825, and left two children, John William and Isaac Gatewood. 
Mother died in 1828.  William died in 1827 in Missouri.  I was born in
1820, moved to Webb, Texas in 1853.  I am seventy-six years old.
