Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 6th ed., 1887, Henry Co. WILLIAM KUPFERSCHMIDT is a native of Germany, and was born September 26, 1824. He was reared and educated in Germany, where he also learned the trade of a piano manufacturer. In 1855 he immigrated to America, located in Hartford, Conn., where he worked at his trade until 1858; then removed to Cincinnati, Ohio, and worked at his trade until 1860. In that year he removed to Henry County, Ky., settled where he now resides, near Gest, and owns a fine farm of 220 acres. He is the father of thirteen children, seven of whom are living: Mary, Willie, Lena, Mamie T., John, Henry and Katherine. Mr. Kupferschmidt is a member of the F. & A. M. Politically he is a Democrat.
