Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 6th ed., 1887, Henry Co. WILLIS E. HENDERSON was born in Henry County March 25, 1824. His grandfather William Henderson, was a native of Virginia, took an active part in the war for independence, came to Kentucky in an early day and settled in Henry County. Our subject passed his early life on the farm, and on arriving at manhood adopted agriculture as his vocation; he now owns a farm of 200 acres in Turner's Precinct, and is engaged in farming and stock raising. He married, in 1849, Nancy Meeks, who bore him one son and one daughter: George W. and Martha A., the latter deceased.
