ANDERSON was born February 1, 1860, in Mayfield, and is a son of Ervin and Eliza J. (Lockbridge) Anderson. The father was born in 1821, and was the first white child born in Graves County; he was a member of the legal profession and held the office of county clerk and circuit clerk, and on the adoption of the new constitution was elected circuit clerk and held the office until 1861. He was also a member of the legislature for one term. He died July 11, 1876. His widow is a native of Graves County, and now a resident of Mayfield. L.B. Anderson began the study of law at the age of twenty-two, with Lucian Anderson, and has been in practice since May, 1863 [sic].
