Souvenir Edition, The Williamstown Courier, Williamstown, Ky, May 30, 1901, reprinted September 19, 1981 by the Grant County KY Historical Society. PROFESSOR C. W. STROTHER has been in charge of the Williamstown Graded Free School as principal for the last year and had endeared himself to the patrons of the district and the pupils by his many excellencies of character and his proficiency in the work he has set out in life to do. He is one of the youngest teachers in the state but has made a very decided success wherever he has been. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, having been a student at that school for five long years. The professor when asked where he was raised said that he was a delegate from the state at large as his father was a Methodist minister and that he never lived more than three years in one place in his life. He is thoroughly equipped as a teacher and is one of the best disciplinarians it has ever been our pleasure to know. His year's work at Williamstown has been extremely satisfactory and he was unanimously elected to take charge of the school as principal for the next year.
