MUSSELMAN was born and raised in Grant county, and in March, 1869, was united in marriage to Miss Jennie Blackford, of Jessamine county. Captain Musselman was a Confederate soldier, and won distinction. He fought at Missionary Ridge, Rocky Face Gap, Resaca and Dallas, and also engaged in many other battles, and though his clothes were repeatedly pierced with the leaden pellets of the enemy he was never wounded. He was engaged in the lumber and hardware business in Williamstown for a long time. Captain H. C. Musselman died September 30, 1900.
