Souvenir Edition, The Williamstown Courier, Williamstown, Ky, May 30, 1901, reprinted September 19, 1981 by the Grant County KY Historical Society. W. J. BRELL. The young men are coming to the front in every line of business, but in no sphere of life is this truer than in the railroad business. From the superintendent of his division down to the operators and section men young men are running the Queen and Crescent. Mr. W. J. Brell is a Pendleton County boy, and has now the first regular job he has ever held down as an operator. He was born at Gardnersville in Pendleton County, October 30, 1878; attended the common schools and obtained a fairly good education. He learned to manipulate the key board in the office at Bracht Station. He is a single man, accommodating and pleasing to meet, and has been in charge of the Sherman office since the 3d of April last. His future as a railroad man is certainly bright.
