G. W. EVANS was born June 7, 1827, and is a son of Joseph and Nancy (Hite)
Evans, the former a native of Virginia, who came to Kentucky when young.
His marriage with Miss Hite resulted in the birth of ten sons and three
daughters.  With Mrs. Evans, he was a member of the Christian Church and
in politics a Democrat.  He has been a farmer all his life and died at
the age of sixty-five years.  George W. Evans was born in Garrard County,
where he owns, resides upon and cultivates a farm of 145 acres.  He is a
member of the Christian Church, is a Democrat in politics, and is yet
unmarried.
