Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 5th ed., 1887, Franklin Co. MRS. LETITIA (FINCH) JETT was born in Boone County, Ky., and is a daughter of John and Mary (Price) Finch. Her father was born in Bourbon County, Ky., was a farmer and trader all his life, and before the war dealt extensively in stock. Miss Letitia Finch was married, March 27, 1845, to George H. Jett, of Franklin County, a son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Sweatman) Jett. He was born in 1817, was Unites States deputy marshal for twelve years, and was also a farmer and stock raiser. He died in 1885. He was a member of the I.O.O.F, also of the Christian Church. Mrs. Jett gave the land the Jett depot now stands on, and the ground for a pike to be built from the depot to the Frankfort and Versailles Turnpike. She owns 163-3/4 acres of fine land adjoining.
