H. HENDERSON, M.D., Athens.

Among the fraternity of physicians and surgeons of Athens is Dr. H. 
Henderson, who was born in Scotland in 1819. 

His early education was received in his native country.

In 1842, he came to America, first locating in New York, where he began 
the study of medicine, at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, where 
he graduated; then became a student of Dr. H. Knapp, of new York, for 
three and a half years.

He spent about six years in the hospital at new York.

He married in 1854, Mary C. Curle, who died in this county, leaving one 
daughter, Mary C.
