BELL, florist, Lexington, was born in Fayette County, November 9, 1852, and is the son of Charles S. Bell, who emigrated from Scotland about 1847, and settled in Lexington, establishing the cemetery in 1849, of which he has had control ever since. His children are George K., John M., Ellen S., William S., and Charles S., Jr. William S. was married in October, 1875 to Miss Addie Lancaster, daughter of Henry Lancaster. She was born in October, 1852. They have two children: Emma Scott Bell, born October 4, 1877, and Nellie N. Bell, born November 19, 1880. Mr. Lancaster, the father of Mrs. Bell, was born June 24, 1810, and died March 15, 1876; his wife, Emily Geers, was born April 13, 1814, and died November 15, 1867. Mr. Bell is the owner of "Rose Cottage," located one and a half miles from Lexington, and is a professional florist.
