PERRY was born in Hardin County, Ky., Dec. 21, 1836, and came to Daviess County when three years of age, and has lived within four miles of Owensboro, with the exception of five years spent in Wayne County, Ill. He now has a farm of 139 acres three miles southwest of Owensboro. While in Wayne County he was Constable four years. He was married May 1, 1860, to Mahala Jane, daughter of Abraham Carter, and a native of Daviess County, born March 10, 1843, in the same house where she now lives. Seven children have been born to them, five now living--Amanda, born Aug. 19, 1862; William A., April 27, 1865; Charles C., April 27, 1866; Rosa T., Oct. 27, 1868; Peter B., June 27, 1875.
