MULLICAN was born in Washington County, Ky., March 22, 1838, and at the age of three years removed to Nelson County. During the late war he enlisted in Company A, Sixteenth Mississippi Regiment, Confederate army, and served two years; was in the siege of Yorktown and battle of the Wilderness, or seven days' fight; was discharged at Richmond, Va. He then came to Daviess County, where he now owns 250 acres of fine land on Panther Creek. He was married April 10, 1866, to Kate L. Stowers, a native of Daviess County, born July 25, 1846. Nine children have been born to them--James S., born Feb. 9,k 1867; John V., born Sept. 22, 1868; Henry L., born Sept. 30, 1870, died Aug. 6, 1873; Bettie I., born April 6, 1873; Ollie and Odie, born July 31, 1875; Richard M., born Dec. 6, 1877; Mamie E., born Jan. 10, 1880; Addie, born March 3, 1882.
