HEAD was born in Franklin County, Ky., Jan. 15, 1851, and came to Daviess County with his father in 1855. In 1872 he went to Missouri and lived in Saline County nine years. He returned to Daviess County in 1881 and bought fifty acres, five miles southwest of Owensboro, where he is engaged in farming. He was married in 1875 to Addie Powers, a native of Bath County, Ky. Her parents died when she was small and she went to Missouri to live with an uncle, Joseph Self. Three children have been born to Mr. and Mrs. Head--William, Sallie and Charles.
