Colonel WILLIAM SUDDARTH, was one of the earliest settlers in Clark county, and the last surviving member of the convention which framed the present constitution of Kentucky. He was a gallant soldier under Wayne in the campaign of 1793. For thirty years he was the county surveyor of Clark. He was a man of intelligence, with the manners of an accomplish gentleman. He died at the residence of one of his sons in Bath county, in the year 1845, having nearly attained his eightieth years.
