Kentucky: A History of the State, Perrin, Battle, Kniffin, 4th ed., 1887, Boyle County. MRS. ELIZABETH A. FUNK was born December 19, 1822 in Green County, Ky., where she was reared to womanhood. Her father, James Campbell, a native of Augusta County, Va., was an early settler in Green County, Ky., locating on the land now occupied by Campbellsville, so named in his honor. He died there about 1827. His brothers were Michael, David, Adam and Andrew. He first married Rebecca Turner, and their children were Andrew and John T. His second wife was Rachel Spears, of Virginia, and their offspring are Rebecca (Russell), Samuel, James, Mary J. (Van Cleve), Henry, Elizabeth A. (Funk) and Sarah (Moss). Elizabeth A. was married in 1843, to Bartlett Eastland (died in 1852, aged thirty-five years), and to them were born one child, Maria (Gregory). In 1858 she was married to James Burnett, and their union was favored by the birth of one daughter. Mrs. Ella Hoover. In 1879 she was joined in marriage to Jacob Funk, of Jessamine County, who died September 22, 1883, at the age of seventy-four years. Mrs. Funk is engaged in farming in Boyle County, having 177 acres of well improved and productive land. She is a member of the Christian Church.
