James W. Kincaid, son of James D., was born in Catlettsburg, Boyd County,
Ky., March 2, 1859.  He was educated in the East Kentucky Normal School,
read medicine and then attended the Ohio Medical College, from which he
graduated in March, 1880, and entered upon practice in partnership with his
father.  March 23, 1885, he married Miss Emma M. Jeffers, daughter of
William S. Jeffers, of Lewis County.  The Doctor is a member of the Masonic
fraternity.
