LARY, farmer; P. O. Clintonville, is a son of J. C. Lary, and a grandson of Dennis Lary, who emigrated from the Old Dominion at an early day. J. C. Lary married Mary A., the daughter of Gen. E. Pendleton, of Clark County, who served in the war of 1812, under Gov. Isaac Shelby. Capt. V. M. Pendleton, of Co. D, 8th Ky. Confederate Cavalry, who was killed at Mt. Sterling was an uncle of our subject. A. P. Lary was born Aug. 17th, 1856, in Bourbon County; he was married April 27th, 1881, to Miss Jennie H. Henderson. Mrs. Lary is a member of the Christian Church. Mr. Lary owns 175 acres of land near Clintonville, where he engages in farming and raising short-horn cattle; his home is known as "Glencoe" where he lives in the enjoyment of the confidence and esteem of his neighbors.
