HUDELSON, farmer and druggist, is the eldest son of William H. and Elizabeth H. (Springer) Hudelson, and was born May 31, 1832. He remained at home and assisted his father on the farm until his twenty-fourth year when he began doing it himself. The greater part of his life has been spent in farming, stock-raising and shipping, and for twelve years he has been engaged in the stock business. In 1882 he engaged in the drug business in Paoli, in partnership with William P. Gabbert. Mr. Hudelson was married in 1859, to Miss Addie Lindley, also a life resident of Orange County, Ind., and daughter of James Lindley. To them have been born six children: Ella J., Lillie E., Charley M. (deceased), Maud G. (deceased), John W. (deceased), and Addie P. In 1859 Mr. Hudelson settled where he now resides, erecting his present residence in 1870, which is a substantial frame, 36x42 feet and cost about $4,000. He is a Republical politically, and Mrs. Hudelson is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The Hudelsons are among the oldest and most respected people of the county.
