Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 7th ed., Boone Co. CYRUS L. CRISLER, a native of Boone County, Ky., was born September 12, 1837, and is a son of Gabriel and Julia (Smith) Crisler, natives of Virginia. Gabriel Crisler was born in 1792, came to Boone County, Ky., in 1832, and was seventy-six years of age at the time of his death, at his residence, three miles south of Burlington. Mrs. Julia Crisler was born in 1800. Cyrus L. Crisler was reared on the home farm, of 170 acres, and followed agriculture until 1883, when he moved to Burlington, and purchased the old Boone House, which is now under his management, one of the best hotels in this county. In 1865 he married Sarah Souther, a native of Boone County, Ky., and daughter of William Souther, of Virginia. To this union have been born two children: Addie B. Mason and Alonzo (deceased).
