Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 7th ed., Boone Co. SEBERN P. BRADY, a native of Boone County, Ky., was born May 1, 1816, and is the elder of two sons born to John and Mary (Jack) Brady, natives of Boone and Woodford Counties, respectively. His paternal grandfather, William Brady, was born in South Carolina, served as captain under Francis Marion during the Revolution, and was one of the pioneers of Boone County. John Brady was born about 1791, was a farmer, and died in Missouri in 1865. Sebern P. Brady was married in 1835, to Miss Elizabeth S. Garnett, who died in 1850; in 1857 he married Mrs. Sarah (Garnett) Ingram, who died in 1878; he next married, in September, 1883, Miss Isabella Hill, a native of Philadelphia, and a daughter of James Hill, of Fayette County, Ky. James Hill, her grandfather, was one of the original surveyors of Lexington; his wife, Margaret (Rawlings) Hill, was a native of Wilmington, Del. Mr. Brady retired from his farm in 1883, and now resides in Burlington. Mr. Brady is a member of the Baptist Church.
