Times of Long Ago, Barren County, KY., by Franklin Gorin, Morton & Company Incorporated, 1929. Published originally in the Glasgow Weekly Times, 1870's. p. 136. A GUILELESS MAN. A man without guile was Henry Eubank, the son of Joseph Eubank, an early settler near Glasgow from Virginia. He was brought up here by truly respected parents who enjoyed the confidence and esteem of all good citizens. his education was obtained in Glasgow, after which he was placed in the store of Wm. Mosby, of this place, to learn the mysteries of merchandising. He learned much there that influenced him in after life. He was by nature and family, teaching, honest, frugal, industrious, sincere, moral, humble and pious. After remaining with Mr. Mosby several years he married Maria Garnett, a daughter of Richard Garnett, Esq., and settled on a farm and devoted himself, with his good and pious wife, to husbandry and training up their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. He was plain in his manners, amiable, good and kind. He and his wife, like their fathers and mothers were truly pious, and members of the Baptist church. He is dead. His wife, several children, and grandchildren, survive him, honoring their ancestors, and their country and fellow-men.
