    James R. Barrick, a son of Russell Barrick, and son-in-law of Josiah Moss,
was a fine, chaste poet.  Prentice esteemed him highly as one richly gifted
in poesy.  Many of his pieces were published in newspapers, and we have
heard they are to be published in book form.
