Directions:
On Middle Creek (Mtn. Parkway)
Going West from Prestonsburg towards Salyersville. Go past the Middle
Creek
battlefield area and soon you will see a hydrofracking plant on the right
side of the road.
Pull into the plant and follow the paved road behind the plant. There is
a trail to the
cemetery on the left. You can either 4-wheel drive up or walk.
There is actually 4 dfferent family cemeteries up there. A Shepherd, Poe,
Marsillett and
Fitzpatrick. They are all together in the same area, with the Marsillett
and Fitzpatrick with
fences' around them. There is also some old graves scattered which are
very hard to read.
One of the surnames is Sparks...
