District of Kentucky, June 15-1818

Circuit Court of Fayette County, Ky  appeared Wm Hicks, aged 66, - he enlisted 1776 in Berkley Co, Va under Abraham Shepherd of the 11th Virginia Regiment commanded by Col Hugh Stephenson or Stinston for 3 years, and that he continued in the service until 1779 when he was discharged from service in New York near West Point, and that he was in the Battle of Brandywine.

 

     In June term 1820 he was aged 67, at the time, resident of Fayette – he states he has a wife and one child living with him and one grand child five or six years old – he served 3 years. He did not give the names of any one in his family.
