STATE OF KENTUCKY: FAYETTE COUNTY.  October 5-1827. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, at age 63 he applied for a pension 1827. States he enlisted for and during the war on April 1781, Caroline County Virginia in company commanded by George Buckner in regiment commanded by Col John Taylor, in the Virginia Line on the Continental establishment; that he continued to serve in the said company and regiment until peace in 1783, when he was discharged from said service in Bowling Green, Caroline Co, Va, that for his services, Va granted him a military warrant, I lived in a house belonging to my son Austin Farrell. - The soldier was a school teacher by trade. His family consisted of self and wife she being age 64.

     Affidavit of one William Schooler, who made oath that he was a regular soldier in Captain Minor's company and in Col Taylor's regiment which was called Third Va regiment and well knows that Isaac Farrell has disposed to the annexed declaration, enlisted and served as a regular oldier in that her is aged 68 and resided in the county and has been acquainted with the said Farrell, as they were raised in the same neighborhood and school mates.      Sworn before Thomas Mar Hickey Circuit Judge, Scott Co, Ky. This day personally appeared before justice of peace for said county and state of Ky, the declarant, Isaac Farrell and the affiant _____ Shepherd, and made oath to the statement herein and by them and I do hereby certify that said Shepherd and William Schooler are creditable and disinterested witnesses.  This January 21-1828.
