According to stories, he fell out of a boat and drowned in the Kentucky River
during the winter. His body was discovered in the spring.

Directions: Located on the Steve Sparks Farm at the end of the
Harris Ferry Road.
It is a single grave
at the front of the Sparks barn, and is marked with a military
headstone.

After returning from the Civil War Burges fell out of a boat and
drowned in the icy Kentucky River. His body was found the following
