Peter Gambrell Cemetery

This cemetery is located on a hillside at an elevation of about 30 feet above the creek as one would travel down lower Beech Creek.  It is located directly adjacent and to the left of a residence.  The dirt road to the residence makes the cemetery easily accessible.  Some local residents refer to this as the old “Peter Popeye” cemetery

 

It has a total of 5 graves.

 

The oldest recorded birth date is 1868  -  Peter Gambrell

 

The oldest death recorded death date is 1927 – Augustus J. Webb
