Burrell Adelbert Robinson was born on May 3, 1887 in Carter County. He was one of eleven children of
William Ezekiel and Lucy Mary (Morris) Robinson. He was raised on the Robinson farm on Little Fork,
about four miles from Willard. On June 30, 1907, Burrell married Edna Mae Walker, a daughter of
David L and Sarah Tom (Mobley) Walker. Edna was born in Carter County on October 10, 1886.
Eventually, Burrell and Edna settled on a farm at Willard, where they would raise their family
of ten children: Gladys, Buell, Blanche, David, Ernest, Clara, Helen, Harry, Charles, and James.
Burrell worked for many years as a travelling salesman (on horseback) for the
Crump and Field Company of Ashland. He died on August 25, 1935 at the age of 48, after falling
over a stump at his home in Willard and suffering a concussion resulting in his death.

His wife, Edna, continued operating their farm until her death on September 15, 1949.

Burrell A. Robinson and his wife, Edna Mae (Walker) Robinson were buried in the Robinson Cemetery,
high on a hill behind their Willard home. Some of their descendants still living in Carter County,
while others have settled throughout the country from California to Pennsylvania to Florida.
Each year their descendants gather for a Robinson family reunion at the old homeplace at Willard.
