This is a photo of Hezekiah King Ash and his second wife, Serena Curnutte Burton Ash.

Serena's sister was Mahala Curnutte Carter, wife of Asberry Carter.

They left Carter Co., Kentucky and came to WV in 1900-1901. Their 11 month old son Arvel Ash, was born in Kentucky and died here in WV.

Hezekiah's first wife was Elisabeth Stevens, or Stephens. I have never found anything of the Stevens family or exactly when Elisabeth died or where she is buried.

I would also like to know how someone can get a copy of the book The Carter Family which is referred many times on this site.
