Jacob Whitt, 76, died at the home of his daughter. Mrs. Bud Tackett, 1085 Pryor Rd., this morning following a five week illness. 

Born in Grayson, Ky., Aug. 4, 1883 he had lived here for three years. he was a retired railroad cook and a member of the Grayson Christian Holiness Church. 

Besides his daughter, Mrs. Tackett, he is survived by seven other daughters, Mrs. Bernice Rogers, Miss Bessie Whitt, Mrs. Goldie Jackson, 
Mrs. Emily Sheppard, Mrs. Mary Stevens, Mrs. Charlotte Tackett and Mrs. Garnet Rose all of Mansfield; one son, Henry Whitt of Fresno, Calif.; 
52 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Delta Hall of Columbus and Mrs. Maude Cooksey of Louisa, Ky. 

Funeral services will be conducted at the J. H. Finefrock and Sons Funeral Home Friday after noon at 3 o’clock. Burial will be in Grayson, Ky. 
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o’clock this evening.
