Clarence Elwood ,Woody, Whitt - 1944-2006

Clarence Elwood 'Woody' Whitt, 62, of Grayson, Ky., passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, in St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Ky.
He was born April 20, 1944, in Elliott County, Ky., the son of the late Oathie and Dove Robinson Whitt. 
He was also preceded in death by a brother, George Whitt, and a sister, Julie Smith.
He was a retired carpenter, member of Carpenters Local 472 of Ashland and a member of Mayhew Flats Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Helton Whitt; three daughters, Michelle and husband Barry Hall of Morehead, 
Melissa and husband Robert Halbert of Hillsboro and Patricia and husband Donnie Trusty of Grayson; a son, 
Cody and wife Bridgette Whitt of Morehead; five grandchildren, Dustin Halbert and Tyler, Michael, Denny and Jamie Howard; 
and eight brothers and sisters, Mary Mauk and Nannie Myrtle Salyers, both of Grayson, 
Dixie Elam and Katherine Waddell, both of Sandy Hook, Vinson Whitt of Fairborn, Ohio, Don Whitt of Sandy Hook, 
Jim Whitt of Olive Hill and Sue Johnson of Grayson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home in Sandy Hook by ministers Danny Kelley and Eddie Rice. 
Burial will be in Elliott County Memory Gardens.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
