Betty Rae Powers

WADSWORTH -- Betty Rae Powers, 74, of Wadsworth, died Saturday, July 21, 2007, at WRH Health System following an unexpected illness.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with the Rev. Paul Thoms officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Betty was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Olive Hill, Ky., the daughter of Silas and Mandy (nee Snipes) Webb.

She had worked at B & C Machine in Barberton and Orrville Products. She had made her home in the Wadsworth area for the past 40 years and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and her bird, Paddles. She had been a talented musician having played the piano and organ and other musical instruments.

Surviving are five children, Leonard Huffman of Wadsworth, Delbert (Debbie) Huffman of West Salem, Randy Huffman of Coolville, Dale (Dixie) Huffman of Creston and Debbie Mullins of Coolville; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ron (Andy) Webb of Creston, Hubert (Jenny) Webb of Akron and Lowell Thomas (Jewell) Webb of Olive Hill, Ky., and two sisters, Patsy (Ed) Uhl of Akron and Eula Bolen of Seville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Powers, in 2005; a sister, Shirley; and two brothers, Vernon and Glen.
