Marcella Gee
1920-2003
Marcella Walters Gee, 82, of Pleasant Valley, Olive Hill, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at her residence, following an extended illness.
Her husband, James H. Gee, preceded her in death in 1976.
She was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Charles D. Walters and Goldie Dickerson Damron.
Marcella was of the Methodist faith and was an employee of the Grayson Rural Electric Coop. for over 40 years.
Surviving are her son, James R. Gee of Stark, Fla.; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Maddix of Pleasant Valley; one sister-in-law, Janie Damron of Grayson;
five nieces, Paula Adams Dailey of Fort Myers, Fla., Debra Damron Brown and Angela Damron Woods, both of Pleasant Valley,
Jane Lynn Damron Felty of Grayson, Ky., and Rita Damron Kinner of Russell, Ky.; one nephew, James E. "Jamie" Damron of Pleasant Valley;
and several great-nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband were her stepfather, Ellis V. Damron, and two brothers, James E. Damron and Ellis Reed Damron.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery with Lewis Davis and Thad Callihan officiating.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight, Oct. 30, at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
