Michael 'Mike' Audrin Wallace




MANSFIELD -- Michael "Mike" Audrin Wallace, 62, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. 

He was born June 9, 1942, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, to Clyde and Avenelle Simpson Wallace. 

He retired after 30 years of service at AK Steel. Mike enjoyed talking to people, golfing and working on the computer. A member of the Shelby Masonic Lodge, he was a 25-year member of Shiloh Masonic Lodge, F. & A.M. where he was also Past Worshipful Master. He was also a member of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, 32nd Degree Mason, York Rite, Baku Grotto, and the Shrine. 

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Shawn and Fred Whitehead of Queen Creek, Arizona; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Stephon, and Nathan Whitehead, all of Arizona; a sister, Mary Goff of Lansing, Michigan; a nephew, Barry Goff and his wife, Michelle of Charlotte, Michigan; a great-nephew, Grant Goff of Charlotte, Michigan; a great-niece, Paige Goff of Charlotte, Michigan; and many cousins, aunts and good friends. 

His parents preceded him in death. 

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, officiated by Pastor Glenn Phillips. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the memorial service. Masonic services will be held in conjunction with the memorial service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
