Willard Waggoner (1931-2007)

Willard Gordon Waggoner, 76, of Grayson died Sept. 21, 2007, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington. 

He was born Jan. 16, 1931, the son of the late Charles Franklin Waggoner and Elsie Marie Montgomery Waggoner.

He was the husband of Mildred Everman Waggoner, who survives.

He was a farmer and board member with the Farm Bureau. He was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.

He also was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde Cecil Waggoner, Charles Robert Waggoner, Thomas Reid Waggoner and Orville Waggoner.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Thomas and Maryann Waggoner of Dallas, Ga., 
and Willard Steve and Sherry Waggoner of Chesapeake, Ohio; one daughter and son-in-law, Edna Faye and Rick Baker of Winchester; 
one brother, Howard Waggoner of Hitchins; three sisters, Joyce Conelly of Gallion, Ohio, Fannie Gravell of Arizona and Donna Sue Gee of Olive Hill; 
six grandchildren, Gail Crowley, Randy Waggoner, Beatta Elam, Sara Rose Waggoner, Seth Waggoner and Donnie Baker; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Oak Grove Church of Christ, with Donald Damron and Tim Carper officiating. 

He will be laid to rest at East Carter County Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Church of Christ Student Life Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Church of Christ Building Fund, 1525 Damron Branch Road, Grayson, Ky. 41143.

Services for Mr. Waggoner will be Monday, September 24, at 4:00 P.M., at Oak Grove Church of Christ, with Donald Damron and Tim Carper officiating. He will be laid to rest in East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00 - 5:00 P. M., Sunday, September 23, at Oak Grove Church of Christ Student Life Center.
