Mrs. Nancy M. Sturgill Carroll, 89, Rt. 2, Grayson died at 6:10 p.m. 
Tuesday in Elmwood Village Nursing Home following a brief illness.     

Mrs. Carroll was born April 10, 1883, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Lafe 
and Jane Mannus Sturgill. Her husband, John Carroll, preceded her in death in 1970.     

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. E. C. Johnson of Logan, W. Va., 
Mrs. Emma Walker of Trenton, O., Mrs. Gladys Wade of Buchpel, O., Mrs. Ida 
O'Mally of Cleveland, Tex., and Mrs. Alma Nipp of Grayson; a son, Roy Carroll 
of Mansfield, O.; 23 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.  
   
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Satterly-Phillips 
Funeral Home in Grayson. Burial will be in Carter County Memory Gardens. The 
body is at the funeral home where friends may call after this evening.
