Darvin D. Sturgill (1937-2007) 

Darvin D. Sturgill, 69, of 59 Parker Memorial Drive, Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday evening, Aug. 31, 2007, at his residence in Olive Hill. 

Darvin was born Sept. 4, 1937, in Carter County, Kentucky, and is the son of the late Lonnie and Ada Blevins Sturgill. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Sturgill and Harvey Sturgill. 

Mr. Sturgill was the founder of Sturgill’s T V and Appliance Store in Olive Hill and was the former president of the Chamber of Commerce. 
He is the present owner and operator of Sturgill’s Music Center in Olive Hill and was a member of the North Broadway United Baptist Church in Shelbyville, Ohio. 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alma McGinnis Sturgill, whom he married Sept. 3, 1955; two brothers and sisters-in-law, 
Burl and Goldie Sturgill and Frank and Rosalee Sturgill all of Grahn; three sisters, Pearl Waugh of Columbus, Ohio, his twin sister, 
Sue and her husband, Ora Carroll of Grahn, and Julie Roar of Flatwoods; several nieces and nephews, and many, many friends who will sadly miss him. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday Sept. 3, 2007, at the Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Elder Jim Owens 
and Elder Burl Middleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memorial Garden on Tom T. Hall Boulevard in Olive Hill.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today and until the service hour Monday, at the Globe Funeral Chapel .

Nephews David Sturgill, Mitch Sturgill, Jeff Sturgill, Lonnie Sturgill, Danny Michael Waugh, William Waugh and Ricky Blevins will serve as pallbearers. 
Honorary pallbearers will be his great nephews.
