Kentucky GenWeb projectLogan Stapleton, Jr. 1924 - 2004 Logan Stapleton Jr., age 79, of Grayson, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 17th, 2004, at the VA Medical Center. He was born June 21st, 1924, at Carter County, KY a son of the late Logan and Tempie Alexander Stapleton Sr. He was a Construction worker with Labors Local Union # 1445, a U.S. WWII Navy Veteran and a member of the VFW, American Legion, DAV, and AMVETS. Preceding him in death was his brothers, Luther, Clifford and Charlie Stapleton. His survivors include: His Wife of 58 years: Edna Jackson Stapleton of Grayson ;Sons: Tim Edwin Stapleton and Raymond Logan Stapleton both of Grayson; 1 daughter: Helen June Phillips of Grayson; 6 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00am at the Malone Funeral Home with Tim Porter, minister. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
