The Ashland Daily Independent, Tuesday, November 6, 1956 WATT STAMPER, 86, DIES AT GRAYSON GRAYSON, Nov. 6 Watt Stamper, 86, of Grayson, formerly of Olive Hill, died in Grayson Sunday afternoon. Funeral services will be conducted at p.m. Wednesday at the Bethel Church by the Rev. Miller. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. The body is at the Malone Funeral Home. Mr. Stamper was born May 27, 1870, in Carter County, a son of William and Nancy Pendleton (sic; Penland) Stamper. Surviving are two sons, Watt Stamper, Jr., and Allie Stamper, both of Logan, W. Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Erwin of Mansfield, O.; three half-brothers, Ross Stamper of Ashland, Bill Stamper of Olive Hill and Link Stamper of Springfield, O.
