Ethel Palmer

Ethel (Stamper) Palmer, 87, passed away June 10, 2006, at her residence in Anderson.

She was born Nov. 2, 1919, in Rooney, Ky., the daughter of Charlie H. and Tish (McGlone) Stamper. She lived in Anderson and Madison County for 
many years and also in Olive Hill, Ky.

She worked at A.C. Delco and was an antique dealer in Anderson.

Survivors include her sister, Marge Ronshiem; brother, James Stamper; stepdaughter, Rosetta (Palmer) Blake; son-in-law, Richard W. Maybury; grandchildren, 
Ralph E. and Cecilia Maybury, Daphne A. (Brown) Shmelz, Rebecca Bashaw, Jerri L. Brown, Richard H. (Hobby) and Diane Maybury; 
great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Philip Haglund, Wren, Bane and Greer Maybury; great-great-grandchild, Kayiah Haglund; 
and sister-in-law, Betty (Palmer) Guntherburger; brother-in-law, Ernest Palmer; and many nieces and nephews. 

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert Palmer; daughter, Derre Jo Southworth Maybury; sister, Effie Stamper Lavengood; 
brother, Robert Stamper; father-in-law, Ernest J. Palmer; mother-in-law, Ida M. (Canterbury) Palmer; and a brother-in-law, Johnnie Rae Palmer.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will be in Anderson Memroial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be two hours before service Monday at the funeral home.
