Mrs. Carroll Passes - 

Mrs. Henrietta Carroll of Lakefield 
township passed away Sunday evening at Newberry following a prolonged illness. 
Mrs. Carroll was born, Henrietta Slavens in Ohio on January 14, 1863. She 
moved with her parents to Kentucky where she married John Carroll in 1879. 
They came to Michigan in 1907 and since 1913 Mrs. Carroll has been a resident 
of Lakefield township. Mr. Carroll's death preceded his wife's by 17 years. 
Henrietta Carroll is survived by three daughters, Mrs. William Enslen of 
Angola, Ind., Mrs. Frank Bemis of Highland Park, Illinois; and Mrs. Samuel 
Dubord of Ashland, Kentucky; and three sons, Robert and George of Washington 
and Richard of McMillan.     

Funeral services were held from the Methodist Episcopal church Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. Alvin Doten 
of Newberry officiating. Interment was made in the McMillan cemetery.
