Ashland Daily Independent 11/12/2003 Dorothy Sammons Fraley 1922-2003 Dorothy Sammons Fraley, age 81, of Grayson, Ky., died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at her residence, following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 14, 1922, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of the late Charles E. and Emma Vincent Sammons. She was a loving mother and housewife and was of the Christian faith. She is survived by her husband, Haskell Fraley of Grayson; her children, Mary Katherine Sexton and her husband, Floyd, Ronald Edward Fraley and his wife, Louise, Carl Wayne Fraley and his wife, Susie, and Beverly Ann Fraley, all of Grayson; her grandchildren, Darren Sexton, Chad Sexton, Shannon Sexton, Rhonda Fannin, Laci Jenkins, Bethany Dyer, and Brandon Fraley; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen and Owen Sammons, and one sister, Cleda Walker. Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Charles Davis officiating. Burial will follow in East Carter County Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, Ky. 41101.
