Juanita Rose Tabor Carter

Born – 1933

OLIVE HILL - Mrs. Etta Juanita Rose Tabor Carter, 73, of 1170 Biggs Branch, Olive Hill, passed away Monday morning, July 9, 
at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. 

Mrs. Carter was born Sept. 19, 1933 in Carter County and was the daughter of the late Vinson and Dorothy Keaton Rose. 

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband of 27 years, Labe Tabor; one daughter, Patricia Tabor Florence 
and one step-daughter, Penny Carter; two brothers, Ivan Rose and Hubert Rose. 

Mrs. Carter was of the Weselyan faith. She retired from Morehead State University where she worked as a custodian. 

She is survived by her second husband of 27years, William M. “Pete” Carter; two sons and daughter in-laws, Ernest Labe Tabor of Mansfield, Ohio, 
Allen Ray and Janice Tabor of Olive Hill; one daughter, Barbara Sue Douglas of Mansfield; two step-daughters 
and son in-law, El’Dora Carter of Xenia, Ohio, Molly and Jason Johnson of Somerset; one sister and brother in-law, Velda Jewell “Judy” 
and Roy Biggs of Olive Hill; 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends who will sadly miss her passing. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Brother Johnny Austin Carter 
and Brother Johnny Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Cemetery in Olive Hill. 

Friends may call after 6 p.m., Tuesday, until the service hour on Wednesday at Globe Funeral Chapel. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
