Harold “H.V.” Rogers (1939-2007)

Harold “H.V.” Rogers, 67, of Grayson (Huff Run), went to be with Jesus Friday evening, April 20, 2007, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

He was born in Carter County on Dec. 7, 1939, a son of the late Arvil and Beulah Parsons Rogers. 
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mennie P. Steele Rogers.

He was retired from the former General Refactories in Hitchins, Ky., a farmer and a trustee at the Huff Run Church, 
where he has been active for the past 35 years.

He is also survived by two daughters, Janet (David) Wade and Mennie (Tony) Daniels, both of Grayson; 
four sons, Ronnie (Polly) Rogers, Anthony (Rhonda) Rogers, Doug (Tammy) Rogers and Stephen (Lyn) Rogers, all of Grayson; 
17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia Large of Webbville, Linda Flannery of Oldtown and Donna Meadows of Ashland; 
and one brother, Orville Rogers Jr. of Blacklick, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean Prichard, Phyllis Rogers and Wilma Rogers; and one brother, Grover Rogers.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. Danny Clarkston, Delmar Rogers and Ernest Bush will officiate. 
He will be laid to rest in Rogers-Messer Cemetery on Huff Run.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call after 6 tonight, April 22, at the funeral home.
