Kentucky GenWeb projectRuth Ann Roe Smith 1955-2004 Ruth Ann Roe Smith, age 49, of 44 Herring Lane, Olive Hill, Ky., passed away Monday morning, May 10, 2004, at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 5, 1955, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of Troy and Janet Knipp Roe of Olive Hill. She was a homemaker and a self-employed accountant. In addition to her parents, Ruth Ann is survived by her husband of 29 years, Kenny Smith; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and David Bowling of Grahn, Ky.; two nephews, Brett Bowling and Jared Bowling; and three nieces, Robin Yangus, Dava Jordan and Felicia Barker. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill and officiated by Thomas James and John Jordan. Burial will follow in Kiser Cemetery in Olive Hill. Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. today, all day Wednesday and until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
