Kentucky GenWeb projectHelen Louise Callihan - 1923-2007 Helen Louise Callihan, 83, of Argillite, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, in Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. Mrs. Callihan was born Nov. 19, 1923, in Argillite (Clay Lick), Ky., a daughter of the late George and Lizzie Belford Riley. She was a member of Argillite Church of the Nazarene. She formerly worked at the C&O commissary at the Raceland Car Shops and at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Callihan; two brothers, Adam Riley and Brady Riley; and seven sisters, Rosie Riley, Molly Morgan, Virginia Webb, Ethel Osborn, Gladys Bowe, Alice Adams and Maxine Callihan. She is survived by a son, Jerry (Kathy) Callihan; three grandchildren, Shanna Callihan, J.R. Callihan and Lisa (Jim) Griffith; two great-grandchildren, Makenna Griffith and Jayce Griffith, all of Argillite; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup by the Rev. Scott Hill, the Rev. Tom Jackson and the Rev. Glenn Stephenson. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
