Elmira Easterling 

1918-2004 

Elmira Ritchie Easterling, 86, of Flatwoods, Ky., formerly of Olive Hill, passed away May 26, 2004, in Oakmont Nursing Home. 

She was born March 11, 1918, in Vest, Ky., a daughter of the late George W. and Naomi Shepherd Ritchie. 

She was a homemaker and attended the Shawnee Church of God. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herbert P. Easterling; four sisters, Margaret Ritchie, Eathel Moore, Charlotta Sammons and Irene Lyons; 
and four brothers, Alamander, David, Andy and Ishmael Ritchie. 

Surviving is one daughter, Wanda Bowe; four cherished grandchildren, John Bowe (Ann) of Lexington, Ky., 
Leigh Ann Bowe-Geddes (John Geddes) of Nicholasville, Ky., Randall Bowe (Stephanie) of Silsbee, Texas, 
and Lauri Bowe (Brett Mann) of Lexington, Ky.; and eight precious great-grandchildren, Christopher Bowe, 
Barbara, Autumn and Laine Geddes, Kirsten Stensen, Ian and Jessica Bowe, and Sadie Anne Brimeyer. 

Also surviving is one brother, Evert Ritchie (Edwina) of Long Lake, Wis.; one sister-in-law, Edythe Ritchie of Long Lake, Wis.; 
and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Ky., from 6 to 9 p.m. today. 
Funeral services will be at the Shawnee Church of God in Flatwoods at 11 a.m. on Friday with Pastor James Stamper officiating. 

Burial will be in the Day Cemetery in Blairs Mill, Ky. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shawnee Church of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 965, Flatwoods, Ky., 41130, 
or to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, Ky., 41101.
