He was born February 6, 1958, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of Wilma Louise Burton Ratcliff, and the late Oral Hager “Chick” Ratcliff. He attended Johns Run Tabernacle. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Boggs Ratcliff; his mother; two sons, Gary Lee Ratcliff, at home, and Charlie Ratcliff, Grayson; close friend, Melissa, Grayson; a daughter, Tammy Ratcliff, Grayson; one sister, Sharon Cooper (Larry), Olive Hill; two brothers, Ralph Ratcliff (Beverly), Grayson, and Keith Ratcliff (Rachel), Grayson; three grandchildren, Zachary, Kelsie, and Bayleigh. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, October 12, at 1:00 PM, at Sparks Funeral Home, Grayson, with Delmar Rogers officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 6:00 – 9:00 PM, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ratcliff Cemetery, Grayson.
