George W. Parsons, 83, of Rt.. 5, Olive Hill, died last night at the residence of a stepson, Howard Parsons, with whom he resided, following an extended illness.

Mr.. Parsons was born March 10, 1890, in Carter County, a son of the late

Mr.. and Mrs. Henry Parsons.

Additional survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lynn Walker Parsons; five sons, Nobel Parsons of Horshoe Beach, Fla., Oather Parsons of Albuquerque, N.M.,
Russell Parsons of Grayson, Roy Parsons of Springfield, O., and Elwin Parsons, no address; five daughters, Mrs. Emily Johnson of Roseville, Mich.,
Mrs. Clarice Classin of Zipper Hill, Fla., (Mrs. Clarice Glosson of Zephyrhills, Fla.) Mrs. Lona Derr of Trittben, Mrs. Anna Laura Hay of
Amanda, O. and Mrs. Ruth Davis of Florida; a brother, Taylor Parsons of Springfield, O.; a sister, Mrs. Sally Grubb of Portsmouth; Seven other
stepsons, Earl Smith of Catlettsburg, Edward Smith of Olive Hill, Lonnie and Elwood Smith, both of Detroit, Walter and James Tackett, both of Cabin
Creek, W.Va., and Willie Smith of Rush; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Lizzie Smith of Catlettsburg, Mrs. Bessie Newell of Rt. 3, Olive Hill, and Mrs.
Effie Bowling of Baltimore.

The body is at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
